A SLOW, STEADY - CHS Summer.

Charleston has a way of slowing time. Of softening your shoulders and stretching out golden hours like they’re infinite. I spent a summer here four years ago during an internship, falling in love with the calm, the charm, and the cobblestone rhythm of it all—and I’ve found my way back more than once since. I’d grab a sandwich from Ted’s Butcher Shop, toss it in my beach bag, and head straight for the sand—no plans, no rush, just sunshine and saltwater.
Mornings were made for slow strolls along The Battery, afternoons for lounging poolside at The Wanderer, and evenings for sunset pickleball and marsh views that made you forget what day it was. Charleston moves at its own pace—somewhere between a southern drawl and the soundtrack of a dreamy summer film.
The lighthouses, the stillness of the marsh, the way the light hits just right… it’s not just a place you visit. It’s a place you feel. And if you’re lucky, it calls you back.
